Senior Care in Stuart FL
On March 23 we are having another in our series of “Senior Educational Events” at the Kane Center (Martin County Council on Aging). This presentation ( a non-sales event) focuses on the Journey’ for seniors – of aging in place, with possible interim stops at Health Care facilities, as needed and appropriate. The presentation started out as a comparison of “Living at Home” versus “Living in a Senior Facility” including Health Care and costs & options, pros & cons. It evolved into a ”Journey”, as we realized in many cases seniors, after an incident (fall, surgery, health diagnosis/change), seniors often go to a ‘facility’, and in most cases return home. Eventually, in some cases, they move to a facility permanently. Who pays (Insurance, Medicare, private fund etc?) for the ‘steps’ along the way and how does a senior, and their family, prepare for and effectively handle the complexities of each step. Knowing what to look for and when, who to ask for help and guidance makes the process more comfortable, less intimidating and confusing – basically less stressful for all involved. Our basic presentation gives an overview of various aspects of the process and our panel of experts are available to answer any specific questions, help you may need to ‘plan’ ahead to deal with situations and in some cases avoid problems.
